1) Inferior friction material
Low-grade pads can overheat (fade), glaze, and shed excessive dust. They’re noisy and tend to wear unevenly, which can damage rotors and wheel bearings.

Budget jobs often reuse tired shims, clips, and slider boots. That’s how you end up with dragging calipers, uneven pad wear, and pulsation a few weeks later.

Rotors have a minimum thickness and runout specs. If no one measures or corrects them, you inherit pedal pulsation and steering shake.
4) No attention to brake fluid
Old, moisture-laden fluid lowers the boiling point and corrodes internal components. Ignoring fluid is one of the fastest ways to turn a cheap repair into an expensive one.
5) Zero road test or bedding procedure
Pads need to be bedded properly to transfer an even layer of material to the rotor. Skipping this step is like lacing up one shoe and trying to sprint.
